MeinQuartier.Zuerich will be discontinued at the end of 2025

"The operation of MeinQuartier.Zuerich will be discontinued at the end of 2025. The number of hits is low and there has been no growth over time. The pilot project has shown that a digital platform like MeinQuartier.Zuerich can only exist and have an impact in the long term if it is well supported in the neighborhoods. It would have to be supported and managed by the neighbourhood organisations for which it was created, because only they have the necessary know-how and local networking. This is necessary in order to publish local news and information on the platform in a timely manner, to align the content of the platform with the specific information needs in the individual districts and to connect other organisations to the platform. Such a local editorial task cannot be performed by a municipal service department with reasonable effort. If necessary, the city could provide the digital infrastructure (software Decidim, servers) and technical operation (maintenance, bug fixing, updates) in the sense of a supporting service. Despite various investigations, however, no civil society sponsorship could be found for MeinQuartier.Zuerich."
